Carrick expands Talent Solutions team with Sammie Burt

Carrick Professionals is pleased to welcome Sammie Burt as HR operations coordinator for its Talent Solutions team. Based in Carrick’s Columbia office, Burt will support the team’s consulting and talent search work through the operational processes that help keep client projects moving with accuracy and consistency.
In her role, Burt will coordinate high-volume HR workflows, support payroll and documentation needs, assist with data tracking and project coordination, and contribute to recruitment processes as needed. Her work will strengthen the day-to-day systems behind Carrick Talent Solutions, giving the team added capacity to deliver responsive, reliable support across client engagements.
Burt brings more than 14 years of progressive human resources and talent acquisition experience to Carrick. Most recently, she served as director of recruitment and selection for the University of South Carolina’s Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support, where she guided recruitment strategy, advised hiring committees, developed HR programs and supported onboarding efforts designed to attract and retain strong talent.
Her background spans recruitment operations, employee relations, compliance, payroll support, onboarding and workforce management, giving her a practical understanding of how well-run HR functions support stronger outcomes. That experience aligns with Carrick’s focus on experienced guidance, measurable execution and innovative talent solutions shaped for the needs of today’s organizations.
Burt earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from Clemson University and holds the Professional in Human Resources certification through HRCI.
