President and CEO, Spero Financial
Brian McKay is president and CEO of Spero Financial, a role he has held since 2020 after serving in executive leadership positions including COO and EVP. He joined Spero in 2004 as marketing manager following six years at First Citizens Bank in Columbia, South Carolina. With more than 20 years of experience in banking and financial services, McKay brings a strong operational background and commitment to innovation and member service. He currently serves as vice chair of the Carolinas Credit Union League and holds leadership roles with the Langston Charter Middle School Foundation, Greenville Rotary, and the Homes of Hope Advisory Council. He has also served on the board of the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, he continues to support credit union development and leadership across the Carolinas.
